About Me

Welcome ladies, gentlemen and all and any creatures
in between. I'm glad you could visit my den. Forgive me as I'm new
at this web design thing and I'm learning as I go along. I have had this
domain for about ten years now and am finally deciding to do something with
it. I have ambitious plans but who knows how they will turn out.
Until then I'm just going to half to be satisfied with my blog and some
personal stuff for the time being. I hope you find the blog entertaining
enough to wish to return and maybe find a surprise or two on the return visits.
About me.
OK, maybe I'm a bit egotistical but it's my domain and it's all about
me. I'm a middle aged man who finds himself prematurely retired with too much
time on his hands thanks to a stroke. The main reason I'm giving this a
shot is that I've owned this domain for about ten years now and it has sat idle
as I never really had the time to play with it. Now I have that time.
I live in Southeast Pennsylvania. I
was once married but that didn't take and am the father of a potential
teenager, daughter no less. I've spent nearly 25 years in the IT field.
almost 20 of them as an IT manager. Half my time was spent with mid range
systems but the dreaded Y2K boogeyman caused a lot of headaches and we
switched from mid range to a Windows network rather than rewrite a ton of
code. My main hobbies are reading, mainly mystery, sf and fantasy, and
poker, both subjects figuring prominently in my blog posts. The
only thing that takes priority is my family especially the aforementioned
daughter, who is currently living with her mother in farm country
in New York.
